Custom Sizing

Proud Hony owner? Not sure if your warmblood is actually just a draft on stilts? Though most bonnets will fit most horses Cob through Warmblood*, there are always special cases.

I am proud to offer completely custom sizing, but need some help from you.

Please provide the following measurements. Reference the below key for further clarity on where exactly to measure.

A: Measure over the poll from one side of the browband to the other (where the red line below the arrow lies on both sides)

B: Measure from the roots of the horses forelock down to where you would like the bottom edge of the bonnet to fall. Please also measure to just above the horse's eye. This will help me create an appropriate shape and hug the eye for a graceful line without having you riding blind!

C: Measure the circumference of the BASE of the horse's ear

D: Measure the height of the ear from base to tip. I suggest measuring the BACK of the ear as this will be a longer measurement than the front will prevent accidental mini ears.

E: Measure the distance between the two ears. Please press on extra floofy forelocks for this measurement for the most accurate number.

Helpful Hints:

- If you are measuring with a soft measuring tape, DO NOT START AT ZERO. Measure from one, and don't forget to subtract one from your final answer. Ex: if you measure from 1 to 13, your actual answer is 12.

-If measuring with string or baling twine, mark your starting point with a sharpie. Again, measure against whatever measuring device you have (measuring tape, ruler, yard stick).

-Use a soft measuring tape, thing the kind a seamstress would use, not the kind a carpenter would use. If you only have the carpenter kind, use baling twine or string.

* Fit is not guaranteed, custom measured or otherwise. I do my best to accommodate sizing requests, but as I am not the one taking the measurements, there may be some minor discrepancy in exact measurement. Crochet is not exact and measurements may need to be slightly altered to coincide with the structure of the bonnet. The crochet does stretch over time and with use.  It may change shape slightly when washed, gently pull to shape. I am not responsible for any sizing discrepancies or variation between products. If you have a sizing concern, it must be presented when the order is placed, as post order changes may not be able to be accommodated.
